Meet Cara Galloway. Cara serves on the Wapello County Children’s Alliance Executive Board as their Secretary which oversees the Resilient Communities Project. Cara has been working to build resilience in our community since 2013 through her work in helping create healthy, stable, and safe families. Currently, Cara works as the Program Coordinator for the SE Iowa CASA and FCRB Programs.
Cara is excited about the Resilient Communities Wapello County Project because this is an opportunity for the community to be accountable for the community we have created and take action for the community we want. She understands this will not be easy and will take the community truly evaluating policy, social norms and an acceptance of everyone in the community.
